Z pokoje do pokoje
Z pokoje do pokoje (2016-2024) was Prague's first reuse centre and the forerunner of Sto.re. It was founded by Zuzana Kuberová, who took inspiration from Sweden, Barbora Kocandová and Tereza Korbelová.
The project succeeded in creating a unique concept where the reuse centre did not only function as a second-hand furniture shop, but also repaired and redesigned furniture. ZpDp also organised courses in renovation, upholstery and DIY woodwork.
In those 8 years, about 4000 pieces of furniture were saved and about 90% were given a second life.
Z pokoje do pokoje took furniture from donors in regular door-to-door furniture picking-up and offered pieces for sale in original condition as well as redesigned. It was not afraid of bold colour combinations.
During the time 205 courses were organised and 945 people attended. ZpDp also aimed to raise awareness about more sustainable living, design and renovation. Several interior designs were created and people were inspired to repair their furniture on their own.

Zuzana left in 2023 Z pokoje do pokoje team to join the Federation of Furniture Banks and Reuse Centres. In 2024, Tereza was left alone on the project. At that time, Denisa Lešková, Monika Kloboučková and Martin Cink came with the idea that they would like to start a new reuse centre - with a new team they decided to take the original project further and start a circular spot under a new name, not only focused on furniture.
